Five Minutes with Marie

Marie has recently joined the market in the last month. In fact I think she came to look round and ask about being a producer the week of our sunflower competition at the start of September! Marie is a keen cook who loves baking cakes. She also likes her garden and even enjoys a spot of knitting and other craft in her spare time.

Like the other producers we have featured on this blog so far, we thought it might be nice to get to know Marie a bit more....

What do you bake for the market?

Cupcakes and other individual cakes (lemon drizzle, carrot cake, coconut and cherry) and cheese scones (Cheddar or Parmesan topping)

What's your best seller?

I've only been selling for a few weeks, but the cupcakes have sold out every time I have bought them so far.

What's your favourite thing to bake for market?

Cupcakes

What’s your favourite (post market) Friday night drink?

A cup of tea

Do you listen to or watch anything in particular while cooking for market?

Radio (KISS)

What’s the one piece of kitchen equipment you couldn’t do without?

Scales (First cook to say this- everyone else so far couldn't do without their food mixer!)
